Learn more about this project and the mold removal process:
A water leak was repaired in one of the Primrose preschool classroom walls, but the residual moisture had quickly led to microbial growth and Tri State was called out to help!
Our team of IICRC mold remediation certified technicians arrived onsite in full PPE, including Tyvek coveralls, gloves, full face respirators and booties. First, they performed a visual inspection of the suspect microbial growth and proceeded to use specialized moisture reading equipment to determine the scope of the cleaning and drying to provide the property owner with a detailed estimate.
A containment was then built around the affected area to prevent the spread of contaminants. The affected materials including drywall, flooring and insulation were removed and the studs and cavity were deep cleaned and sprayed with an antimicrobial treatment. Specialized drying equipment and air purifiers were placed to dry out the affected area and eliminate any airborne toxins. This equipment was then monitored over the course of several days and once our technicians were satisfied that the affected area had dried out according to IICRC standards and that the school was no longer at risk of further microbial growth or mold hazards, we picked up our equipment.
