Edit 5/22: Tri State called me the morning after I posted this review and offered me the full $500 credit providing I update this review. They did immediately send out a check once I agreed, which I’m thankful for. I appreciate Tristate resolving the credit and following through with their word on that. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend them because I feel in order to get that credit I had to post this review for them to listen.

Tri State did a great job at helping us clean up after we had a pipe burst in our house; however their fees are completely unclear and they overcharge and scam you.
We gave them a $500 deposit to start and didn’t get any updates about fees and services along the way; we got a bill for an additional $4500 later in the mail. We tried to submit it to our insurance and they informed us it was exorbitant and Tri State added non traditional services and increased the category of our water damage higher than it really was.
Tri State offered our insurance an additional $500 credit ONLY if they covered the entire thing. Insurance did not want to cover it and I paid the full expense out of pocket.
I asked Tri State about the $500 credit they offered to the insurance company and asked if I could receive back that money as a credit.
They did not agree to give me the full amount for some unknown reason, and they only agreed to give me a partial credit of $250 simply because they would rather pay the insurance company than their customer.
It has been 4 weeks now and I STILL have not received a check yet.
This is extremely unfortunate and I am astounded they are able to do business like this. If you care about fair business practices, do NOT ever hire this company.

We hired this company to clean a very small bathroom that had a minor sewage backup (dirty water never rose above one centimeter - one eighth of an inch- and was present for only a couple of hours). Wanting to be cautious, we decided to bring in professionals to ensure it was handled properly. That was our mistake.
The cleaning itself was done adequately, and the staff on site were courteous. However, the billing practices were unacceptable.
We were quoted $2,500 over the phone, which already seemed steep for such a small area. The crew arrived during regular business hours on a Friday, worked for a couple of hours, left equipment, and returned briefly twice to check it. Despite this, the final invoice included:
14.5 hours of “technician supervision”, on top of already itemized charges for cleaning per square foot, drywall removal, and product use.
Charges for services never performed, including cleaning doors, windows, the washer/dryer, and the furnace.
“After-hours” charges and transport fees without any explanation.
Equipment rental fees totaling nearly $1,500, for equipment they left onsite.
In the end, we were billed over $7,500—three times the original quote.
When questioned, the company simply stated that “the quote may vary,” as if a 200% increase is reasonable. Our insurance claims adjuster confirmed this company is not on their approved list, noting that they’ve seen similar overcharging behavior from them in the past.
We strongly advise others to avoid this company. Their billing lacks transparency, is filled with questionable charges, and borders on predatory.

Alfredo and Diego were wonderful in their help for drying out our basement after a repaired plumbing leak. It was an unfinished space with many stored and fragile items that needed to be removed. Diego and cielilo(?) moved everything carefully out of the way and setup drying fans and dehumifiers. They removed the wet wall and ceiling tiles and removed all of the debris.
Thank you so much for your hard work and kindness. They had to return several times to check humidity levels over a few days.

Leo and Freddy did an excellent job. They cleaned off the steps to the basement of leaves (something I did not know they did). They were very professional and cleaned up everything when they were done. Tri State has been excellent, from Daniel who came out to inspect our initial issue to another Daniel who was in the office and I believe was a manager. We found our basement 100% flooded from a. Sump pump malfunction around 2pm. These guys were at our house by 8pm and worked until 11pm to get our carpet out. Arrived the next day and cut out the drywall and removed all contaminated items. I’ve never had anything like this happen but I felt safe in the mitigation services Tri state was providing. Alfredo was incredibly thorough coming each day to move fans around. Customer service incredibly helpful on how to navigate the process. Alfredo and team rocks!! All of the contractors that came for estimates were impressed by how dry everything was and what a thorough, efficient job they did!! Thank you!!!!
